This tool calls the free, shared Nominatim and Overpass OpenStreetMap APIs directly from your browser, throttled to about one request per second. Please avoid very large batches or running multiple tabs at once - these are community-run services, not a dedicated backend.

Fair use & privacy details

Geocoding and footprint requests go straight from your browser to nominatim.openstreetmap.org and overpass-api.de - no data passes through any server of ours.
Nominatim's usage policy asks bulk users to identify themselves; since browsers don't allow scripts to set a custom User-Agent header, you can optionally provide a contact email below which is sent as Nominatim's documented email parameter and stored only in your browser's local storage.
For heavy or production use, consider self-hosting Nominatim or Overpass instead of relying on the public instances.
